It&#039;s common for commentators to view inexperience an advantage, portraying experienced veterans as burned-out deadwood. For example, praise for the &quot;passionate,&quot; &quot;energetic&quot; beginner teachers (both adjectives from the L.A. Times) has been a consistent theme of news coverage of charter operator Green Dot&#039;s takeover of Locke High School, also in Watts not far from  Markham. (Green Dot fired most of the previous staff, getting rid of the veterans and replacing them with newcomers.)</description>
