Five days here, five days there, what’s the difference? In the rest of the industrialized world they are well over TWO HUNDRED days a year.
I work 235 days a year, and that’s with five weeks of vacation (counting legal holidays). Kids and their teachers should be scheduled similarly. It would take a lot of pressure off the school year, reduce backsliding, and allow more time for all the good stuff.
