Bruce Fuller

Bruce Fuller is professor of education and sociology at UC Berkeley. He earned his PhD from Stanford University, then served as a research sociologist at the World Bank. His work centers on the decentralization of public organizations, including the spread of charter schools and preschools. A new study with colleagues at RAND examines the deregulation of school finance in California. His new book project, "Public Projects, Tribal Ties" examines why decentralized organizations are both necessary, but to date not so effective.
